Dear Fellow Ministers,
How hard is it for you to do new things? I find that the more I seem to "know" about something the harder it is for me to change. I guess that is true because I think of myself as somewhat of an expert on the situation. If I don't know much about it, I'd probably be willing to try anything.
Our scripture for Sunday is from Luke 5:1-11 and it deals with Jesus telling professional fisherman how to fish. A carpenter telling fisherman how to fish... hmmm. Yet, they were willing to do what Jesus suggested, and their nets were full. Then, Jesus could invite them to "fish for people".
I hope you will pray through this text with me as God forms a sermon in us. I marvel at the willingness to do something new the disciples had... maybe there is a lesson in that for all of us. I look forward to being in ministry with you this week!
In Christ's Service,
David

New Video Ministry
Under the leadership of Technology Consultant, Mark Redd; and Sound Engineer, David Carter, we are offering our worship services on DVD. We especially need volunteers to deliver the DVDs to any homebound members who may want them. We appreciate the work of these two gentlemen in our Sound Booth each Sunday! Remember if you ever want copies of our services on audio all you have to do is to ask David Carter for them.
