Dear Fellow Missionaries,
When I was going through real struggles in college trying to discern my call into ministry, one of the things that gave me hope was that there was an old man in Andrews, NC, getting down on his knees every night and praying for me and my whole family. As my 90+ year old grandfather prayed for me every single night, it reminded me that I wasn't alone. It pointed to a larger truth for all of us, that we are never alone because God has given us His son, Jesus Christ, to be the intercessor for us. I invite you to read, and pray through, with me John 17:6-19. This is the "high priestly prayer of Jesus Christ where He prays for His disciples.
Thank you all for what you do to remind others that they are not alone! I look forward to being in mission and ministry with you this week!

If you would like a FREE audio tape or DVD of our service, simply sign up on the "Every Member in Ministry" table at the back of the church (please put your name and the type of recording you want - audio or video/DVD).Recordings can be picked up Monday afternoons from the box on the Pastor's Office Door.

 New Pastor Appointed To Central UMC
Linda Masters, SPRC Chair, announced yesterday that effective July 1, Rev. D. Michael Jordan will be appointed as Senior Pastor of Central UMC in Canton! Mike is a tremendous servant of Jesus Christ and is a highly respected pastor in our conference. Mike is married to Margaret, and they have three grown daughters. Currently, Mike is serving at the Senior Pastor at Brevard:First UMC. Please begin now to pray for Mike and Margaret as they come to be our parsonage family.
David and family will be moving to First UMC, Gastonia. His last Sunday will be July 1.
