Our community was devastated by flooding related to tropical storm Fred. While our church was spared from damage, some of our members experienced flooding, loss of possessions, and property damage. The communities of Bethel and Cruso were especially affected. We are coordinating with the Canton Missional Network (an ecumenical group of churches in our area) to help with ongoing relief efforts. To contribute to the Canton Missional Network efforts you can give to First United Methodist Church in Waynesville Give Now (onrealm.org) and indicate Flood Relief.
We are committed to helping people in our church and have set up a team to determine the needs and distribute funds. To contribute to our church please give online using the Online Giving button below and indicate Flood Relief in the memo. You can also mail checks to P.O. Box 792.
To help fulfill the greatest commandment of loving God and loving our neighbors we take precautions to prevent the spread of covid-19. With the number of cases of covid 19 being high in our area, we are worshiping in our parking lot outside the daycare entrance at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. You can park in our other parking areas and bring a chair to sit in. Spots are available in the lower lot for those who need to worship in their cars.
Are you searching for meaning or purpose in your life? For a community where you can belong? For a way to give back? Whether you are a lifelong Christian or have never been to church before, we invite you to join us on your journey of faith here at Central.
To make known the love of Christ to all.
