In previous years, I have been invited to participate in several civic organizations that express clear expectations for their members before you join. In churches we have expectations for our members that we tend not to talk about because we are just happy when people come. However, when anyone joins a United Methodist Church, we vow to faithfully participate through our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service and our witness. When we fulfill these vows, the church is more vital, and we grow in our own faith too. This week we explored a little bit of what it means to support a church through our prayers. For the next month our entire congregation is encouraged to pray for specific things, mostly related to our church. Copies are available in the church office or by following the link.

Please take a moment to worship online and to scroll through the announcements below. Mark your calendars now for a fall church workday on Saturday, October 21st and Celebration Sunday on Sunday, October 22nd.
